SoFi is also a homeowner’s neighborhood and rent prices are pretty steep, at over $15,000 a month.
Bal Harbour – Safe and Prestigious Beachfront Community
Bal Harbour is an affluent community with stunning beachfront homes. Home to Bal Harbour Shops, the upscale dining and shopping destination, this neighborhood offers access to excitement and modern conveniences. It itself is quiet and secluded although it is only a few miles from Lincoln Road and South Beach. Arguably its biggest selling point, Bal Harbour has one of the lowest crime rates in Florida. Home prices range from $650,000 for a condo to $1,750,000 for a 2-bedroom unit.
South Beach (SoBe) – Vibrant Party District
If you love Miami Beach for the party life and glitz and glamor, you will love South Beach. SoBe, as it is called is located at the heart of the Art Deco Historic District and is a stretch of nightclubs, restaurants, theaters, boutiques, and other entertainment spots. The party district is widely popular with the young population and many of the homes are condos. The median home sale price is $1.2 million but you can rent a unit for about $3,300 a month and higher in areas close to the beach.
North Beach – Tranquil and Family Friendly
North Beach is where you live when you are raising a family. This family-friendly community is peaceful and starkly different from the bustling and loud Miami Beach. If you love to stroll, you will enjoy the scenic backdrop of the North Beach Oceanside Park. You can also catch a local show or concert at North Beach Bandshell. Even the home prices are geared toward young families, with median prices starting at $475,000 to $875,000 for a 3-bedroom home.
Mid Beach – Modern Amenities and Easy Access
Situated between 63rd and 24th Street, Mid Beach is a peaceful neighborhood located away from the bustle of the beach. It is a great place to slow down and raise a family or enjoy some peace and quiet amidst the bustling Florida coast. Parking is easier to find here than in most parts of the city. Rent prices are also lower at between $3,500 and $8,500. But while you can find a condo for about $650,000, Miami Beach luxury homes and single-family units in Mid Beach can go up to $3.5 million.
